About Our StaffEXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSESSMENT SERVICES Joanne graduated from LaSalle University, with a B.A. in Special Education and from Beaver College with a Master's Degree in Special Education. She has worked for over 25 years in a variety of settings, including third grade learning support, middle school behavior support, and an as an adjunct faculty member at LaSalle University, Gwynedd Mercy College and St. Joseph's University. Her primary focus has been teaching children birth to three with learning and behavior differences. Joanne is presently the co-owner and executive director of Early Childhood Assessment Services. Joanne lives with her husband Mark. She has three children, Mark, Gia and Nicholas. KAROLEE SCHLOTH CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSESSMENT SERVICES Karolee has been working with young children and families for 30 years. She has facilitated infant nutrition trainings, parenting groups, teen parent programs, and daycare staff trainings. Her role as a behavioral and early interventionist has led to working with families with a variety of developmental and emotional concerns. Working with children birth to three, and their families, has been her main focus for the past 15 years. Karolee has an undergraduate degree from Penn State University in Medical Dietetics and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is co- owner and clinical director of Early Childhood Assessment Services. She lives with her husband, Ed, In Schwenksville. She has 3 grown children, Eddie, Kali and Keri. DEBBIE E. HEINEMAN PT Debbie is a pediatric physical therapist. She has 33 years of clinical and consultative pediatric experience in private and special needs schools, public school, home care and early intervention evaluation teams. She graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She is currently in the transitional DPT program at Arcadia University. She is currently working on early intervention teams in Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. Debbie is married to the love of her life, Bob, and has four wonderful children, Stephanie and husband Jeff, Andrew and Jeffrey. BETH APPELBAUM SPEECH Beth has been a speech pathologist for 28 years, working with children birth to 5 years of age and their families. She received her double Master's Degrees from Temple University, one in Speech Pathology and the other in Audiology. Her undergraduate degree was obtained at the Pennsylvania State University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Currently, Beth works for Early Childhood Assessment Services and Pediatric Therapeutics evaluating children in both Bucks and Montgomery Counties. She is married and the mother of three wonderful children. KIM MINETOLA EDUCATOR Kim attended Bloomsburg University where she received an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education. She continued her education at Arcadia University where she graduated with distinction receiving a Master of Education degree. Kim has taught preschool, kindergarten, first and third grades. She has worked in early intervention for over 10 years as both an evaluator and as a treating therapist. Kim is the mother of two boys, Matthew and T.J. ANDREA SELBST SPEECH Andrea Selbst graduated from Goucher College, with a B.A. in Psychology, and Columbia University with a B.S. in Speech Pathology. She has worked in a variety of settings including a pre-school, pediatric rehab hospital, residential facility and United Cerebral Palsy. She has more than 25 years experience as a pediatric speech pathologist. Currently, Andrea is conducting evaluations for Montgomery County, Bucks County and Delaware County and is treating children birth to 3 years of age in Bucks County. Andrea is married and has two sons. NANCY SMITH-BAYLEY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST As a graduate of Elizabethtown College, with a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, Nancy has 23 years of experience as an occupational therapist. Her experience includes the assessment and treatment of children and adults in a rehab hospital integrating both the medical and developmental needs of children in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She is NDT certified for adults and has a basic certification in the DIR Model for children (as developed by Stanley Greenspan). For the past 8 years, she has worked exclusively with children in outpatient, home, and private practice settings with special interests in autism and sensory processing disorders. In her free time, she enjoys family time with her husband and her son. CINDY A. PHIFER SPEECH Cindy is a pediatric speech/language pathologist. She is a provider of diagnostic, clinical, and consultative services in private practice, hospital, early intervention, Intermediate Unit, public school, home care, and university settings since 1982. She graduated from Bloomsburg State College with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science Degree in Speech/language Pathology from Widener University with an Associate Degree in Health Care Administration. Cindy is a participant in Early Intervention Teams in Montgomery County since inception in 1994. She is a provider of direct evaluation and treatment to adults and children throughout Montgomery and Chester Counties. Cindy lives with her son Noah. |
